Frozen strawberries lend fruity flavor and lovely color to this green tea iced tea
that's good throughout the year. The recipe calls for only five common
ingredients and offers make-ahead convenience.
Strawberry Green Tea Iced Tea
My new favourite summer Iced Tea!
3/4 cups (150 grams) sugar or golden sugar
6 cups water
2 cups (250 grams) frozen unsweetened strawberries, thawed
3 green tea bags
2 tablespoons (24 grams) lemon juice
Fresh strawberries and lemon slices
In a large saucepan over high heat, bring sugar and water to a boil. Remove from heat; stir until sugar is dissolved.
In a larger container, add strawberries, tea bags and lemon juice.
Carefully pour hot liquid on the strawberry mixture. Covered, and let steep for 5 minutes.
Strain; remove berries and tea bags.
Transfer tea to a large container or pitcher. Refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice. If desired, serve with fresh strawberries and lemon slices. Enjoy!
